Cummings has coordinated statewide survey efforts aimed at monitoring the expansion of SCN in NYS. She will discuss the findings of those surveys, what it means to NY soybean producers, the importance of testing, and the best management recommendations for individual growers dealing with SCN on their farms.
* 1 DEC recertification credit in 1A and 21 for January 21 session
Anyone planning on receiving DEC credit for their participation must send a photo of their DEC license to dg576@cornell.edu and you must have your card while viewing the meeting to verify attendance/participation.

What to expect to receive credits from a Zoom Conference DEC has firm guidance that we must follow for virtual meetings offering pesticide credits. You must pre-register for the meeting and send us a copy of your license. If you can take a picture with your phone you can send it to Janice's or Donette's email or you can text Janice's cell phone. You will be asked to sign in to the chatbox prior to the meeting or as it starts with your full name as it is on your pesticide applicator's license and your number and again at the conclusion of the meeting. Please start the zoom a few minutes before the official start to give yourself time to enter the information into the chatbox. Certificates will be sent via email when possible or snail mail.

Manure has all seventeen essential plant nutrients and can increase yield beyond what can be obtained with fertilizer only. In this project, Value of Manure, we evaluate the nitrogen fertilizer replacement value (how much N can we credit to manure?) and yield differences as a result of manure application.Farm Participants Needed for Bale Grazing Grant!
Information on the Project:- Approximately 10 acres total needed to bale graze two different bale densities
- "Core" farms will graze two winters, "Demo" farms will graze one winter.
- Payments for both "Core" farms and "Demo" farms
- Baseline soil sampling by bale grazing team
- Forage measurements in early season by bale grazing team
- Late season clipping if residual not trampled down by farm
